How it works

From first call to settled care

The first part of the journey is simply to give us a call. Sometimes talking through your questions, thoughts and concerns is the most helpful first step in an area that can be emotional and daunting.

A conversation, first

Call us and tell us where you are and what you’re thinking. There’s no script and no obligation. Live-in care isn’t always the best option, and we’ll endeavour to help you think through the right ones, whether the complexity is a personality one or a health one.

A full assessment

If live-in care looks right, we run a full risk assessment of care needs, the home environment and personality characteristics. Our team includes a wide range of experienced health professionals, from nurses to physios, and we draw on that experience so all parties are clear about what care needs look like.

Carefully matched

We’re committed to finding the right carer for you, someone who truly fits your loved one’s individual needs and preferences. To maintain continuity, your carer stays in situ for around 4–8 weeks, depending on circumstances, before taking a couple of weeks to recharge, with a trusted interim carer covering their break.

Supported, always

That’s not the end. Our carers are supported in their positions with access to experienced nurses for ongoing care and health questions. And we ensure adequate cover is always available whenever your carer is on leave.

Nurse-led support

Every carer has experienced nurses on call for health questions.

Continuity of care

One carer in situ for 4–8 weeks, depending on circumstances, not a rota of strangers at arbitrary pre-booked slots.

Cover, guaranteed

Adequate cover is always arranged for periods when your carer is on leave. No gaps.

A man speaking with a care professional

“We didn't want a rota of strangers. We wanted one person who knew Dad; his ridiculous jokes, his garden routine, his quirky ways”
